Privacy and optional analytics

Updated 27 October 2026

You can browse Under Hat without accepting analytics. The controls at the bottom of every page let you accept or reject optional analytics and change your preference later.

Your choice

Our Google Analytics integration loads only after you choose Accept analytics and the integration is enabled. Before that, this integration sends no requests to Google. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from viewing the artwork or using the design previews. We also keep analytics off when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.

Your analytics preference is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. A change to the consent version asks you to choose again. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Choosing Reject analytics after accepting stops future measurement from this integration, clears its accessible Google Analytics cookies, and reloads the page if the Google tag had loaded. It cannot recall information already sent to Google.

What optional analytics measures

We use analytics to understand visits and interest in artwork, collections, room scenes, ornament design choices, and links to Amazon or Etsy. Our custom events use catalog identifiers rather than names or free-form text. We remove page query strings, fragments, and referrers from the page information sent by this integration. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents, typed searches, or the full destination address of an external product link in these custom events.

After opt-in, Google may process analytics cookies or identifiers and browser, device, and network information to provide its service. Google describes its handling of information from partner websites in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, its Privacy Policy, and its cookie information.

Advertising and sales

This integration keeps advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals off. An Amazon or Etsy link click measures interest; it is not a confirmed sale. This website does not send browser purchase or refund events through this integration.

Other local preferences and external sites

The ornament selector may remember your chosen artwork and scene in this browser so you can continue viewing your design. That local display preference is separate from optional analytics and does not submit a print order. When you follow a link to Amazon, Etsy, or another website, that website's own privacy and cookie practices apply.
